Product Overview

Brazil produces approximately 40% of the world's cane sugar and exports to over 100 countries. Brazilian brown sugar — including light brown, dark brown, and demerara grades — is produced through controlled partial refining or by the addition of cane molasses to refined white sugar, depending on the grade. It carries the natural mineral content and flavour profile that retail buyers in MENA and Africa consistently prefer.

Endura Export sources brown sugar from ANVISA-compliant mills and ships under a complete documentation package: Certificate of Origin (MDIC), Certificate of Analysis, phytosanitary certificate, commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading.

Common Questions

Brown Sugar FAQ

What is the minimum order for Brazilian brown sugar?+

Our minimum order is one Full Container Load (FCL). A standard 20' container holds approximately 22 metric tonnes of brown sugar in 25 kg bags, or 20 MT in 1 kg retail bags (due to packaging volume). We do not supply pallet or LCL orders.

Is halal-certified brown sugar available?+

Yes. We work with mills that hold valid halal certification from recognised Brazilian certifying bodies. Please specify your halal requirement at enquiry stage. Certification documentation is included in the export package at no additional cost.

What grades of brown sugar do you export?+

We export light brown sugar, dark brown sugar, and demerara (coarse golden crystals). Organic-certified brown sugar is available on request subject to mill scheduling and lead time. Grade specifications including moisture content, colour (ICUMSA), and granulometry are confirmed on the pro-forma invoice.

What shipping terms are available?+

FOB Santos and FOB Paranaguá are our standard Incoterms. CFR and CIF to your destination port are negotiated based on order volume and destination. All terms are fixed on the pro-forma invoice prior to payment confirmation.

Can I order custom private-label packaging?+

Yes. Private label is available for 1 kg and 5 kg retail bags. Labels are produced in English, Arabic, and Portuguese. Artwork submission, print lead time, and minimum quantities are confirmed at the quotation stage. Include your labelling requirement in your initial enquiry.

Buyer Experiences

What Sugar Importers Say

The SFDA and SABER process for importing sugar from Brazil felt impossible to navigate alone. Endura handled everything from the Brazil side — SABER PCoC, Saudi embassy authentication, Arabic labels. We cleared King Abdulaziz Port with zero issues on the first container.

Faisal A. Import Director — FMCG Trading, Jeddah KSA

We import 2 containers of demerara sugar from Brazil every quarter now. The quality is consistent across every shipment and the documentation is always complete. GOEIC clearance in Alexandria has been smooth every time.
